About Me

Hello :) I'm a 20 something year old from Northern California who's been romping around the globe the past few years. The goal is to learn as much about the world and the people that make it their home as I can, I would love to peer into your slice of life and get to appreciate your home from an insider's perspective.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I way prefer the cultural experience of getting to know a community through a local. Much richer and more intentional, I think. Through all of my travels the people are what end up being the most important.

Interests

I'm always looking for the next best swimming hole, dance club (night club or ecstatic dance), breathtaking scenery, musical jam session (I sing and play a bit of guitar), good street eats, and anything else that makes an experience unique! Just looking to laugh while seeing and doing new things with new people :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, and Neil Gaiman are my favorite authors- if you like any of these then I'm sure we'll have lots to talk about.

I really do like music from most corners of the spectrum. Some of my favorite genres are Delta and Chicago Blues, African, R&B, Louisiana Jazz, Hip Hop, Big Band, Rap, Orchestra, Classical, Punk, Motown, Bedroom Pop, Flamenco

Some musicians I love are The Gorillaz, Otis Redding, Anderson. Paak, Stevie Wonder, Gipsy Kings, Louis Armstrong, The Growlers, Amy Winehouse, Steely Dan, Doja Cat, Noname, Bonnie Raitt, Crumb, Big Thief

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the opportunity to take an amazing three day boat trip down the Amazon river which lead to volunteering at an incredible animal sanctuary in Iquitos, Peru

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know a ton about cooking, but I love to do it and would love even more to share that with you. I can teach some simple guitar, basic drawing techniques, swim lessons, or help set up/plan a garden.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to think I'm pretty open minded and opportunistic, there isn't much I won't be interested in tagging along with just for the ride. I can enjoy a night in cooking good food and talking about philosophy and life's mysteries, or we can hit the streets for a silly time on the town. We could go cliff diving or visit a serene space to meditate for a while, I really am interested in it all. I'm also perfectly fine with showing myself around if you don't have the time or energy. All is well. I definitely am grateful to those who have let me into their space.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Canada, Colombia, Greece, Guatemala, Mexico, Myanmar, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Thailand, Viet Nam
