Overview
About Me
I am a journalist and a documentary filmmaker, I was born and raised in Italy, in several Italian cities, I don't feel any sense of belonging to any particular one. Then I lived in Paris for one year; since I moved to New York, in Feb 1999, I feel at home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's fun, it's interesting, It's like a carousel ride
Interests
Cinema has always been a passion for me, I listen to lots of music and I like books. I am interested in movements, politics and social media. Yes, I am a little nerdy.
I really love to take long walks at night, and New York is perfect for this. I do not like to cook, but I really love to discover new bars, and to have long brunch with my friends as well as discovering new places in the city where I live, and I know a lot about New York with whom I am in love :)
I am very interested in the hacker movement and generally subculture.
I go to concerts and often to the movies, especially film festival, which are frequent in New York, I like stand up comedian, my heart goes to Louis CK and Ted Alexandro.

Music, Movies, and Books
In music I love covers, about books I like Dave Eggers, Jonathan Franzen, Joshua Cohen, Douglas Adams, but an exhaustive list of music that I like or authors that I love would be too long, like a whole lot of stuff.
At this time I'm listening The Good The Bad and The Queen and my last favorite book was No Place to Hide, by Greenwald.
(Impossible to make a list about cinema, I watch so many movies that my loves are continually replaced)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I moved to New York without ever having been before and without speaking English
Twice I attended a friend (2 different friend) who was giving birth
I interviewed Robert Altman :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Unfortunately I live in a very small apartment and I can't host, but I'm always happy to show the city, meet people and to give advice on where to go and what to do, outside the traditional tourism, in NYC
