About Me

I am a exchanged student from Brazil doing a scholarship in USA until the end of year 2015. My host college institution is Wayne State University, in Detroit, MI. This summer, I am in the University of Utah doing research in Biologic Science.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am really excited to travel around US and meet new places and people. My main target of being on Couchsurfing is to make native north-american friends and learn more about the US culture, food, and language. I am excited to share my experiences.

Interests

I want to see beautiful places in US, improve my English skills, make new friends, and share a bit of my home country culture. It is always good to show people how amazing is Brazil.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music! I can say I am eclectic, because I like since the 80's music until this new brand new bands. I like Depeche Mode a lot, also Stevie Wonder, The Cure, Pink Floyd,... Justin Timberlake, Amy Winehouse,... System of a Down, Rammstein, Slypknot,... it can be a long list.
My favorite movies are the Tim Burton's ones, but I love movies that have a good photography, soundtrack, and a good story.
Definitely, my favorite book is Shopie's World.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bought a professional camera and I've been learning many techniques to take pictures. It is my new hobby.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Brazilian Portuguese and some Brazilian sweets.
I would like to learn more English, and more about the US history and culture.
I can share some experiences I had, some histories and curiosities about my home country, and some good Brazilian musics too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to share my culture, and I believe the best way to share it is making some food and tell them about the history of my home country. I love to talk about how amazing is Brazil, and I would love to make people love Brazil too, or even have the curiosity to visit there.
