About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Making everyone around me a little happier than they were before they'd met me
ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Marina, I'm a mother of two lovely girls named Alison and Sharon, and we all live together in Milan along with my husband, Roberto.
We are a very open-minded family: we love to meet new people from all over the world and we won't care about your race, religion or sexuality, as long as you're nice and friendly! (But shy and introverted people are also very welcome! :D)
I'm a creative director and work with media and communication companies. I have a longstanding passion for art (I studied Architecture in university) and love going to the cinema with Roberto, who is actually a film director. We are both buddhist, and we get along extremely well with tolerant and kind people.
I still call them my baby-girls, but Alison and Sharon are quite grown up: Alison is 22 and studying at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, while Sharon is 19 and looking forward to starting university in England in Sept 2011! Alison loves fashion, art, music and Tv shows, while Sharon loves books, animals and baking. :)
They both know English very well and would be the official translators during your stay (Sharon is actually translating and typing atm ^^"). While me and Roberto get by, we're not very fluent. Language, however, should not be a problem: there are always hand gestures! :P
PHILOSOPHY
To make the world a better place, we ought to start from changing ourselves to become better people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We host people in Milan, take some time to show them around the city, take them shopping and answer any question they may have on our country and culture. :D
Also, we provide delicious home-made Italian cuisine!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None so much, I had couch surfing experience only in England, but we hope to rectify that very soon!
Interests
Well, too many to count! We all have different hobbies and interests, from art to politics, from metal to classical music, from cinema to cooking.
And animals. Sharon loves animals and nature, and she's going to study Zoology at uni. (Guess who wrote that...)
