Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We´ve been travelling for a year so far in New Zealand and all this time, we´ve realized that local people were the most helpful during our trip, and the ones who showed us about their culture giving us great travel tips. Backpackers hostels are good places to meet other travelers, but its always more difficult to get to know locals this way and you end up going to touristic places , which is what we would like to avoid on our next trip so we could have a genuine experience in our travels.
We have a friend in Argentina that offered her house to some travellers for a few days and told us it was a good experience and that´s why we decided that our next trip we had to try Couchsurfing, so we could meet locals and experience what is like to live in other place, not just like a tourist.

Interests

Marina:
Travelling, meeting new people from different countries and exchange our cultures. What I found more interesteing is exchanging recipies from other countries, because I discovered that I like trying new and different food and sometimes learn to cook different meals from other places. I also like reading, drinking wine, watching a good movie.

Walter:
Travelling, swimming, staring at the sea, diving. I have a CMAS certification, so I really enjoy this activity.

Music, Movies, and Books

We can enjoy all music, and we love watching movies, so we dont have a favourite one. Me (Marina), I enojy reading but dont have any particular favourite book, though I like reading authors like Paulo Coelho.
