World trip

ABOUT ME

Hello!
We are a french couple ( Marine and Alex) who want to discover the world.
We do a 6 month trip around the world ( South America, Oceania and South est Asia).
We would like to meet you, know more about your culture, your lifestyle, that's why we decided to try the Couch Surfing. We met lot of people since 2 months but not so much locals.

I ( Marine) just finish my business school in France this summer, and I took the opportunity to travel around the world. I try to be open minded to others cultures ( sometimes it is a little bit tricky but it's great)and lifestyles. I like the sea world, to cook, museums, shopping and sports ( on TV ).

Concerning me (Alex), I have been an aeronautical engineer for 2 years in Toulouse. I work on avionics network for Airbus and Thalès.
I really like to discover new cultures and to know the history of the country I'm visiting. I think that traveling is a great opportunity to meet other people with a different way of life.

PHILOSOPHY

We try our best to be proud of ourselves and to never regret anything. This is hard of course but we try to enjoy our lives and to take the opportunities offered to us.
We also try to be as open minded as possible to better understand the people around us.
Family and friends are important to us.
We are not religious.
One other important thing for us is the ecology.

It's great to travel but if you can avoid big hotel without soul it's better! We just started to participate in this project but we will definitely be involved in it !

Interests

Traveling of course!
We love to cook, have fun ( movies, museum, theater, beach,...). Simple things like talking, sharing with friends around a good bottle of wine or beer.
We also like sports such as swimming, snowboarding/skiing, hiking and biking. I (Alex) play rugby in a small corporate team.
We enjoy going out in pubs with friends a few times a week.

Music, Movies, and Books

We like to read a lot, especially comics, science fiction and thrillers for Alex and girly pink covered books for Marine.
We like the pop rock music, such as Muse, U2, Lenny Kravitz, Placebo, Coldplay, and Abba for the karaoke.
We like to go to the movies, to see every kind but horror and teenagers movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This world trip is probably the most incredible thing we did and we will.
During this trip we saw many beautiful and amazing thing such as the Rio nomination for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, the Machu Picchu, and the geysers in the Atacama desert.
