About Me
Having spent most of my life in Venezuela but also many years in Europe, I'm fascinated by cultures and their history. I wish I could spend a year or two in every country to get to know them deeply, but I guess the next best thing is to try to get to know the locals wherever one goes.
I studied economics and have been working in Germany for the last years. I'm very interested in understanding the developmental path of countries. I inevitably end up traveling through that lens: it makes me very interested in the place's history, culture, government and the challenges it faces... yes and I can also chill on a beach with a nice beer or just get lost in an art museum.
My hobbies include running, salsa dancing, beer brewing, and (the latest addition) mushroom picking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Ready to start surfing and burn all this energy for travel :) looking forward to meeting new people! I'm an easy-going, positive person.
I've heard about how enriching CS could be, and so I would love to have the opportunity to enrich and learn as well :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I like almost all genres of music and played the guitar myself for some years. I'm significantly rusty now though, so I can't promise a concert :D
In terms of books, I've been lately exploring and learning about the work of Dostoevskij. Whenever my brain is too fried though, I go for a nice shonen manga.
Besides that, I like books that touch on the topic of economic development, as it's a topical passion of mine.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing a humpback whale up close must be one of the most amazing things I've seen. If you know the book The Swarm, you might know what I mean!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well, I can offer humor, optimism, and anything that I could teach. More importantly and this might be of interest: I've been told by people that I have visited that, thanks to me, they've discovered something new about the place they live in :)
