About Me

Hey, couchsurfers!

I can't host at the moment, but I'm looking forward to doing it again in the future. I've only ever had cool experiences hosting people and meeting people abroad on here!
I've used couchsurfing sparsely in the past few years, mostly because I've been extra busy with my studies, but my first time meeting someone on couchsurfing was in 2016! Time flies.

You will mostly find me travelling to bigger cities, as this is where I like to explore the most. There's just something about being around so many people, and everything always being in motion, that fuels me and inspires me- but that said, I also enjoy going on hikes. Big fan of mountains.

I'm an art-oriented person. Catch me working on many projects at once. This is how I like to keep busy! I've graduated in design/graphic design, cinema and animation, most specifically for art direction and writing last year. Now, I work as a freelance graphic designer as well as other small jobs to make ends meet (currently: game master at an escape room and also at a library from time to time). I'm also really interested in theater and musical theater, and I hope to find a way to combine these two interests later down the road. As a result, I have a big interest in interactive and alternative ways of storytelling.

I'm now back in Bordeaux, where I'm originally from, and looking to settle there for a while. If you'relooking for someone to hang out or visit something with, definitely drop me a message too. I'd be happy to show you around the Bordeaux city center or go out for a drink!

Hoping everyone's having nice and safe travels!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Like you (I hope), I like travelling and meeting locals, as well as helping out fellow travellers when I can!

Interests

I'm open-minded and I love to hear about everyone's stories and interests! I generally like to do activities related to those, so if that's your thing too, it'd be great to hang out and do stuff together! I love spending time at museums or art exhibits and taking my time. I love to go see shows, movies, concerts... etc, or talking about those. Also enjoy going out for a drink and discovering new bars and cool places!

Music, Movies, and Books

I never know what to put in for these, its so hard to pick favourites... Alright; instead, have a list of the latest things I've listened to/watched/read, that should give you a good enough idea of who I am:

Latest movies I've watched: Night on Earth, Barbie, Laurence Anyways, Across the Spiderverse, Manos the Hands of Fate (yay Mystery Science Theater 3000), Yannick

Latest series/TV shows: Good Omens (oh boy that new season), Dix pour Cent (or Call My Agent in English), Schmigadoon, Mental, Black Mirror, Queen Charlotte

Latest books I've read: The Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, Emma, one of the Discworld novels

Latest artists I've listened to (courtesy of my Spotify): DEVO, Cheekface, Muse, Mr. Oizo, OK Go, FIDLAR, Jonathan Coulton, Fresh, Sidney Gish, Briston Maroney, Lucy Dacus, Ben Folds, Kero Kero Bonito, Self Esteem

Latest shows I've seen: 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (it had to be two of the shows with the longest names), Brokeback Mountain (yes, the play), Eugenius!, Rocky Horror Show

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lockdown brought out a lot of amazing things, I've gotta say, despite it overall sucking. I'm finishing my master's degree project (which is a video game! Insane, I never thought I'd ever be able to do that)

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I know about a variety of things but I don't know if I could teach any of it. I draw a lot and I've worked in animation studios, on graphic design/motion design projects, and on movie sets before. I'd love to help you out if you need any knowledge in these! I love getting involved in various art projects, even if it's just to help out a little bit. Building something with others, one collaboration at a time means a lot to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If I'm hosting or showing you around: good red wine recommendations. Cool places to grab a drink at. Nice museums and exhibitions to see around the city. Hanging out for some time!

If I'm staying at your place: also good red wine recommendations. Talks about stuff we like. Spending time with you and hanging out if you're up to it! Sharing activities you like together.
