I am very curious and independent, cheerful and smiling, I like to spend time with new people, discover other ways of living, other ways of thinking and so on. Usually I'm quiet, and even a bit shy, but it has never been a problem to meet people.
Always look cheerfully at the new day, no matter what difficulty you've been through yesterday.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To find another way of traveling. I think traveling while meeting local people is the most precious experience one can have! I love visiting museums and so on, but it is not enough to say that one have discovered a new culture, a new country: meeting new people is the only way!
I am quite eclectic, I think. I have a passion for photography (street photography, but also nature/animals), I love all styles of musics, all styles of cooking (and I love cooking...That's one of the best reasons you should accept to host me ^^ ). Generally speaking, I am interested in every way of expressing one's culture
Even though I am far from being an activist, I am very interested in feminist thesis. So, dear reader, I hope you will contact me and I look forward to meet you... as long as you consider me as your equal ;)
In my professional life, I begun a PhD in Italian Studies (I was specialized in Italian Foreign Policy) but I'd rather work for Public Administration. But if I had the opportunity, I would love to work for NGO's.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: many different kinds... I love independent cinema (French, American, Spanish, Italian), but also american blockbusters. I love Pedro Almodovar, for instance. The only kind I don't like is Horror.
Music: many different kinds as well. It changes according to my mood. Right now, I am really really fond of Flavia Coelho, may one of the best singers I know ! I also love La Yegros (she is Argentine), as well as small french bands (Les Ogres de Barback etc.), well-known singers such as The Beatles, Lenny Kravitz etc.
Books: All classical writers (Flaubert, Zola, Hugo, Pirandello, Manzoni, Dickens, etc.) but also modern ones (André Brink, Anna Gavalda, Paolo Giordano) and fantastic stories such as the Lord Of The Rings or Harry Potter. My favorite book: La casa de los espiritus (Isabel Allende)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Entering the wonderful world of Iguazu falls: it looks like heaven on Earth!
Discovering the life of a glacier (the Perito Moreno, Argentina) : you could see it live trhough wonderful changing colors, you could hear it pushing forward from the top of the mountain to the lake in the valley, when ice was broke at the heart of the glacier and it echoed in all the valley, and when huges ice blocks broke and fell into the lake, creating small tsunamis.
Without any hesitation, I can say it was the most amazing experience in my life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my passion for photography (even though I consider myself as a beginner), I can explain you some things about politics in France, our culture and so on. People say I am a very good teacher whatever I wanna explain.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook you some italian risotto, I can train myself to photography with you (if you have some activity etc., I can photograph you). I can also talk about many things, share travel experiences, and so on.
