ABOUT ME

I’m a 24 year-old French girl. I was born in Lyon (France), on a hill named La Croix-Rousse. It’s a beautiful urban area, where my family still lives. When I was 19, I moved to Grenoble, a city situated at the foot of the French Alps in south eastern France, to study five years at the Grenoble Institute of Political Studies. During my studies, I lived one year in Paris for internships. Ah awesome Paris! Most of my friends live in Paris and I know I’ll return there one day… But not tomorrow!

In this moment I’m writing this little text in my new room in my new apartment in my new street in my new neighbourhood, Kreuzberg, in my new city, Berlin. The day I finished my Master degree of Journalism, I packed up and… Berlin, here I am! I’ve been living in the capital of Germany for 5 months now: here I joined my German girlfriend Linda (we met each other in Paris... but not at the foot of the Eiffel Tower!), I met known friends again, I meet new people, I improve my German, I discover a new culture, I bought a beautiful old bike that takes me everywhere I want… I start to work too, as a freelance video journalist for an international press agency. It’s the beginning of a big and successful career ;) Just kidding but I hope maybe it’s happening because this work offers to me what I consider the most important in life: being open-minded, curious, tolerant, interested in the world that surrounds us, meeting different people and cultures and travelling of course !

Some movies I like(d) to watch : "Garden State", "The Color Purple", "Me and You and Everyone we know", "Shortbus"... I like the most part of the movies of Quentin tarantino, Sophia Coppola, Lars Von Trier, Park Chan-wook or Darren Aronofsky.

Some TV series I like(d) to follow : "Mad Men", "Six Feet Under", "Breaking Bad", "Weeds" or "Big Bang Theory"

Some books I like(d) too read : "On The Road" of Jack Kerouak, "Strangeland" of Tracey Emin, "Germinal" of Emile Zola, The Kenzie-Gennaro novels ("A Drink Before the War", "Gone, Baby, Gone", "Moonlight Mile", etc) and other works ("Mystic River", "Shutter Island") of Dennis Lehane, "Quatrième génération" of Wendy Delorme.

Some singers/bands I like to listen : The XX, Radical Face, Foals, Metronomy, MGMT, Arcade Fire, The Knife, Fever Ray, Adam Green, Diamond Rings, MEN, Feist, Kings of Convenience, Massive Attack, PJ Harvey, etc. And all my musician friends of course, who sing in the shower, under the rain, in the subway stations or on stage!
