Hi! My name is Mario and I am a physician. I was brought up in Lima, Peru, but I have lived in Bolivia during my childhood (I know plenty of beautiful places over there!). I did my medical specialties in Mexico City and I enjoyed this beautiful country almost to the full (Mexic is truly amazing!).
My wife, Vanessa, is a super smart pediatrician, and my son Mario Agustin is a very curious seven-year-old boy. We love to spend time together at home watching a movie or playing a board game. I work at my home university in Mexico as a physician-scientist.
I enjoy a good conversation about biology and society, but also about European football (go Bayern!), classic anime and suspense movies.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Due to my studies and work, I have lived in different countries and I know that nothing replaces a good local advice. Not even the new cool sounding travel websites!
Because I know how difficult is to arrive at a new place, I have always tried to help fellow travelers, especially those ones with children. A friend of mine recently told me about Couchsurfing and I have to give it to you guys, BEST IDEA EVER.
I won a scientific scholarship from the European Union and I will be attending classes at several institutions for the next couple of years. I will really appreciate local help in this endeavor!!
