europe two point oh : the return of marisa and lindsay

ABOUT ME

marisa and lindsay, lindsay and marisa.

we have been friends since the beginning of secondary school and have shared a plethora of incredible adventures. most recently, and most excitingly, was our trip to europe (aka europe one point oh).

we travelled through ten different countries hosteling, pub crawling, beaching, hiking and touristing. however, we missed out on some key places and experiences.

we found our favourite part of traveling was meeting new people, especially locals. although we love our fellow north american travellers they lack a certain je ne sais quoi that locals possess. couchsurfing seems like a great way to meet like minded people living abroad and satisfy our desire to embrace - if only briefly - other cultures.

.... UPDATE: marisa and lindsay are no longer travelling to europe in fall 2010. instead they are *moving to australia* if you are australian or if you know a lot about australia feel free to offer any advice about places to live, places to get jobs, places to party and more! marisa and lindsay will be touching down on australian turf in early october.

both marisa and lindsay are university graduates specializing in psychology, english, leadership (marisa) and canadian law (lindsay). we are both twenty four years old and spent our life up until now in deep cove, vancouver, british columbia, canada.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

we are new to couchsurfing and we are eager to be immersed in the couchsurfing culture.

although we are traveling currently we intend to purchase an amazing couch/bed for guests so we are able to reciprocate and continue on the couchsurfing legacy.

on our most recent trip we covered a lot of european ground. although we don't have much in depth information about the area we are happy to share our experiences with you; recommend hostels, restaurants, attractions and methods of transportation; and we will do our best to answer any questions you have!

we have both lived in vancouver for over twenty years so we are able and willing to offer insider information you may not be able to find on google, especially if you are interested in deep cove, north vancouver. we definitely recommend coming to the cove (google it!)
