ABOUT ME
I'm a fun loving, easy-going college student who loves to travel and experience new people and places. In May of this year, I'll graduate from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina where I study Spanish and Global Studies with a concentration in peace, conflict, and human rights. Once I graduate I'll be making the move to San Jose, California where I will be a Spanish teacher in a low-income community with Teach For America. I'm always excited for new adventures and experiences!
Interests
I love all types of dancing, but especially salsa dancing and do it as often as possible. I always enjoy traveling to different countries and experiencing new cultures. I also enjoy volunteering, reading, meeting new people and learning from them, being active, hiking, snowboarding, being outdoors, learning and speaking Spanish.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most recent adventures that I've had was as an interpretor in Guatemala. I went on the trip with a medical team who performed major surgeries and I helped with the communication between the local patients and the doctors. The gratitude of the patients and their families were what made the trip so amazing. Also in Guatemala I climbed an active volcano which was an incredible experience.
I studied abroad in Costa Rica for four months and through that was able to do some pretty awesome things like ziplining in the canopies, holding a monkey, and swimming in a huge waterfall. I got to see some beautiful things and meet some beautiful people. It was an amazing four months!
