Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Appreciate life, appreciate and enjoy being myself, and make other people feel comfortable and happy about being themselves
ABOUT ME
I am quiet, level-headed and responsible, caring, good at listening, enthusiastic about life, and sometimes spontaneous. Honesty and integrity are important to me.
PHILOSOPHY
It is important to listen to each person and respect their right to be who they are and evaluate them by their own standards. It is important to be honest and true to who we are—it can be hard enough to understand other people, anyway; no need to add willful deception to the mix.
Interests
I love language and the ways people communicate. I love playing games and organizing things. I love baking and cooking, especially for people I care about. I love hiking mountains and hanging out in forests. I love reading stories and making sense of things by thinking and writing about them. I like writing letters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have backpacked 272 miles, the entire length of Vermont, along the Green Mountains. I hiked in sunlight, in rain, in fog and mist, in heat and chill, up mountains and along valleys. I got to know the mountains of my home.
I have also been a part of a community of young people that embraced people for who the were and encouraged and supported them on their own journeys, free of hate and negative stereotypes and punishing standards.
Teach, Learn, Share
I play the harp.
I am a proofreader and understand the ins and outs of English grammar.
I make delicious cakes and cookies and scones and muffins of many kinds.
I am good at addressing personal conflicts in nonconfrontational and productive ways.
