ABOUT ME

I'm a calm person who loves to learn, share and laugh.

I work as a privite tutor. My hobby is to make jewelry from polymer clay and I'm busy to take my hobby to the next level and make it part of my income. If you want to see some things I created, check out www.fimohoekje.nl.

I'm also love playing board games. I've around 150 games! My favorite one is Race for the Galaxy, a lovely card game with a steep learning curve. But once you learned how to play, you don't stop ;) .

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I heard about it from a friend of couchsurfing. Since, I've joined some events and hosted people (first with my ex). It's great fun to get to know people from other cultures. I surfed a few times now, and I hope to surf more in the future, it's great!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been to a few CS meetings, hosted people and surfed a bit. I enjoyed the meetings very much and hosting people is even more fun! I'd like to meet new people, getting to know them and help them out with a place to stay.

CS is a great way to getting to know new people and make a visit to a city an even greater experience. There's so much to learn about people, their culture and their country!

What I don't like about the website, is that people just want a free place to sleep. So if you want to surf at my place, please read my profile first.
Don't write in your couch request that you want to meet me, because Eindhoven is a nice city of that you need a couch. I'm not a city or a couch. Therefore write something personal to me or put 'I love rabbits!' in your request so I can see you at least read my profile.

Interests

In my free time, I love to play board games. If you are familiar with them, Race for the Galaxy is my favorite. Every year I'll go to a board game convention in Germany. It's so cool to be around people who share the same interest.

Once a week I go to a modern dansing lesson.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to watch series of all different kinds. I really loved Revenge, Once Upon a Time, Game of Thrones, the Big Bang Theory.

At this moment, I don't read a lot, but I like to read the books of Raymond E. Feist. And I also enjoy the books of Saskia Noort (a dutch crime-writer).

I listen mostly to female fronted metal, like Nightwish, Tarja, Within Temptation (well, you get the idea ;) ). I also like more peaceful music, like Anouk, Ilse de Lange (both dutch singer songwriters) and Pearl Jam.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to China was increddible. I love the people there! And especially Litang. It is an amazing city near Tibet. When I was there, I was lucky to visit the yearly horse racing festival. To the the local High Lama (a kind of priest) and the ceremony around his visit was fasinating.
