Born and raised in Juneau, Alaska. My husband and I are quitting our jobs for some extended travel. We realized a few years ago that our desk jobs were unfulfilling. We decided we might as well travel while we figure out what our new career paths might be.

We love all things outdoors, but primarily: snowboarding, hiking, fishing, fires on the beach, mountaintops. In addition, I love to cook, read, knit, learn science and spend time with friends, old and new.

I adore food and learning about different cultures through cooking. We will eat anything.

Aside from the economic reasons, Couchsurfing seems like a great way to get to know a new place and its people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Found long lost family in Italy and got to know them. Have been kayaking a few meters from humpback whales.
