I am currently living in Georgia with my husband while he job hunts. He just accepted a job in the Peoria area, so we are getting ready to move! We both love to cook and really enjoy board games and events that are easy for people to learn/get started in. In the summers, we like to go hiking, kayaking, camping and swimming. If we can find a good gym, we both really enjoy rock climbing as well. We both enjoy striving to be in better shape and plan on trying P90x one day soon to really tone up...Living out of boxes for a few months while he has gone to trade school in Nashville has done a number on our waist line, so we have some work to do! We enjoy meeting people, hanging out with the locals, grabbing a coffee or a glass of wine and seeing the city!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Moving to a new city is rather daunting. We are hoping to couchsurf for 2-3 days while we line up an apartment/home. We've been up and stayed in the city the first week of June and were very intimidated by the price of hotels. We stayed in an AirBnb for 3 months prior to this job offer (it was a rent the whole place deal, not a room in the house!) but all the AirBnb options are pretty expensive for this area as well. Hrm. So we are trying something new out since we had such a great experience with AirBnb as a hotel alternative. We would love to share cooking/cleaning for our stay with our hosts. And this isn't a never ending stay, we are planning on 2-3 days MAX with a lease starting on July 1. We just need a home base to crash out of while we meet up with realtors/leasing agents and sign paperwork.
