About Me

Hello! I am Marius from Norway.

I am on a solo backpacking trip from Phuket to the north of Thailand and eventually going to Laos. I will be in Thailand from the 15th of January to the 15th of April.

I love to explore just about anything, whether it's a new place, a new idea, or... well, just something new 😄. I am an entrepreneur and I love exploring possibilities that are not yet discovered.

I like to read books that expand my scope of knowledge and practice kickboxing, which keeps my body healthy.

My goals for the next six months are to learn Spanish well enough to hold a conversation and to become a better full-stack developer so I can manage my own projects from start to finish.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I like almost all kinds of music. But if there is one genre I listen to the most it would be country.

I really like adventure movies, like The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit movies.

I like most books that expands my knowledge. The last book I read and really liked was Prisoners of Geography by Tim Marshall.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the northern lights from a small Norwegian fjord. This was in the darkest winter time when it was pitch black during the whole day.

The northern light didnt only light up the sky but it also revealed these snowcovered mountains which rose from the sea and straight up into the sky. It was like being inside of a volcano, the mountains almost completley surrounded us.

The northern lights were so bright, in so many colors and so many layers that the stars and planets behind it disappeared. That was amazing.
