About Me

Heyho!
I'm from a little town near Dortmund ( if you are interested in soccer, you'll know "my" team: Borussia Dortmund).
I started to study linguistics, politics and philosophy at the TU Dortmund, so currently I'm living with my family (that's why I can't host for the moment), but I am going to change career&college next winter.
Besides traveling I'm interested in sports- especially... Nah, kinda everything: dancing, kickbox, swimming etc.- politics, journalism and cooking. Normally I use to hang out a lot with friends/ spend time with the family. I also enjoy being alone, teaching me new stuff- currently I am learning french.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After High School I left Germany to volunteer for one year in Oaxaca, Mexico.
I've experienced so many amazing things by meeting new people-mostly locals-who shared their knowledge and thoughts with me. You get to know about cultural differences, you can learn to speak a new language and in my case getting used to eat AND LOVE "chapulines" (grasshoppers -they are delicious, believe me!).
Currently I am backpacking in Mexico for some weeks (couldn't get enough of this country). I plan this to be just one of many trips in the next few years. Hopefully couchsurfing helps me exchance experiences with people who think like me :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Almost every kind of music genre- Rock, Indie, Pop, Hip-Hop, Electro Swing, Salsa. Of course all of the Oldies. I even listen to "Neue Deutsche Welle" (german songs from the 70ies) and Banda (oaxacan brass band music) .
--> Books...Honestly; I've read to much to have a favorite one.
--> movies: "Blood Diamond" with Leonardo Di Caprio, "The Jury" with Samuel L. Jackson and "Monsieur Claude"- a french comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was visiting a tea factory in Sri Lanka it started to rain and me and my friend were carrying a camera. While we were running trough the rain, we found an abandonated house. Well, we tought it was abandonated. When we took position under the roof in front of the door, it openend and a tiny old lady stared at us. She didn't speak any english, but she pointed us to come in and made us some delicious tea. Her husband didn't speak english either, so we comunicated by using arms and legs.
