I've traveled/backpacked on a couple occasions alone through mexico for duration of three months each time. Whilst traveling I was introduced and fell in love with the Jarana and now I practice and love singing and playing jarocho music.

The jarana jarocha is a guitar-shaped fretted stringed instrument from the southern region of the state of Veracruz, Mexico.

Son Jarocho is a regional folk musical style of Mexican Son from Veracruz, a Mexican state along the Gulf of Mexico. This music is community based and meant to involve others.
