We gave ourselves a one-year break to explore other paths and make the trip of our lifetime, Down Under, here we come!

ABOUT ME

Tom puts his heart and soul in photography, Marjan is his professional assistant. Marjan is mad about clothing and even creates her own.

Our friends often describe us as friendly, interested, ambitious, determined and able to adapt to all kinds of people and situations. We try to take life as it comes and enjoy as much as possible.

From the moment we started working, traveling was one of the major activities our savings went to. At our trips, we met incredibly interesting people with fantastic traveling plans. In stead of being jealous, we decided to jump in the 'dark', take one year off and head to Australia.

PHILOSOPHY

This is a difficult one... we try to take life as it comes. We enjoy as much as possible but are fully aware that we have got the gift of being born in a society where everything is possible and at our disposal. We try to be modest and find the balance between our personal needs and pleasure on one hand and respect for the other part of the world on the other hand.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are currently traveling and enjoying couch surfing as greatful visitors. We always try to do something back for our hosts. We like to cook or at least bring a good bottle of wine, because at some hosts dinner was already served when we arrived, how great is that!?
When we will get back from our big adventure, we will definitely open our house for couchsurfers. Meanwhile we convinced already several people to do so (parents, colleagues, ...) by telling them our stories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our first experience was last year in Canada. We were so surprised by the kindness and hospitality of our hosts that we're excited to experience it again. We are still in contact with most of them and we are eager to get to know even more people from this community.
