My name is Mark and I am a good humoured, mature and well mannered kiwi from the bottom of the pacific rim.

I'm not a massive party animal, but I'm not a wet blanket either. I love to socialise and enjoy the company of others, but can enjoy relaxing with a book in my own back yard from time to time.

I am new to couch surfing. Love the idea of travelling and meeting new people in their domestic environment...Often absorbing a local flavour opens doors to more unique experiences, which is a component of travelling I find exciting. No hotels or hostels.
I'm pretty adept at making my own bed, being doing it for a while, so the idea of someone else doing it as a service is not ideal.

I love music. I can play guitar, drums and piano to varying degrees of acuity but prefer acoustic.

I also have a burgeoning interest to the outdoors. I enjoy a good hike, will attempt to surf from time to time, and will try to get to the mountains for snowboarding every winter.

In saying that, I am still partial to a good movie or tv show. I had to unsubscribe from netflix because i could see it becoming a bit too addictive. Gasp.

I like coffee. We drink "flat whites" here in NZ. If you're unfamiliar - it's basically a latte with less milk and not as much foam. The only way to have espresso.
