Hi there,
Here I will give a small introduction of me...
My name is Marcus and I'm from a small town near the Dutch coast, 40 kilometres upnorth of Amsterdam. The area has lots of fields of colourfull tulips, meadows, dunes and a small forest.
My house is a small one-floor wooden house, where I live with my gracious queeny cat ;-)
(Almost) whole my life I love traveling and learning new cultures. Meeting people have my greatest interest.
For 14 years I have worked as a chemical engineer at the Energy Research Centre of the Netherlands(ECN), doing research in the Air Quality en Climate Change area.
For quite a while I had a dream, to travel for a longer time, instead of just a short vacation. The time has now come to fulfill this dream, I quit my job in june 2015 en will start my travel in Sri Lanka in September, the rest of the journey is open...stories are my guide.
Oh, and uhm...my caracter: Born on the 11th of July, I have the constellation Cancer, which can be descriped as emotional, loving, imaganative, symphatatic...in which I can find myself. Furthermore I like to joke and can be a dreamer.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

The reason I am on Couchsurfing is that I think if you want to really now the cultures/countries you visit, you have to meet and talk to the people who live there.
Also I am a social person who feels to much alone in a hotel;-)

Intereses

My interests are wide...anything which relates to the senses seeing, tasting, feeling, hearing and smelling. I love to learn new things and be suprised!
Some examples are food, cooking as well as eating, with a good glass wine. Listening to music and singing with it, although you might not want to hear that ;-)

Música, películas y libros

This is difficult, I cant define a specific direction of music...I love all music which touches the heart, emotions.
I love Arthouse films. I have not read many books, but have my e-reader with me, so this section is to be continued.
