Hello! I am a painter, an animation-artist, a writer, a gardener, a juggler, a contemplator of jigsaws and a student of Life.

I was born on July 1994 and grew up by the North Sea in Berwick upon Tweed. I left home to study traditional animation in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I spent 4 years moving things around very very slowly, while also practising painting, drawing, and various crafts and model-making. In Summer 2016, I went to work on the feature length painting animation Loving Vincent, in Poland, and since then have been establishing myself as an artist while also learning organic gardening and studying at the Beshara School of esoteric education in Scotland. I am now on a WWOOFing journey to learn deeper the principles of organic gardening and to befriend the vast unknown!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wish to be able to travel and experience the wonderful places of the world not having to worry about too many expenses, and to meet local people, talk, share ideas and inspirations.

These days, my musical ear goes to Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Arcade Fire, Roger Waters, Gerry Rafferty, Fish, Ayla Nereo, Tori Amos, Philip Glass, Tame Impala, Nightwish, Tuomas Holopainen, Sigur Ros, Tears for Fears, The Vastearth Orchestra - and a lot of film soundtracks.

Films - favourites include The Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, The Assassination of Jesse James, The Prestige, Cloud Atlas, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Amelie, The Village, Waking Life, classic Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes. I am very fond of stop motion animated films!
