About Me
Hello, my name is Mark 😁
I’m from a little place called Figtree about an hour south of Sydney, Australia.
I was lucky enough to grow up here with my family of 6 and have always lived about 10mins from the beach and 20mins from the mountains. This meant my brothers and I were always off riding our bikes and exploring as much as we could before the street lights turned on and we had to ride home.
I’ve always loved being outdoors and experiencing new things and have a passion to travel and see the world.
I was lucky enough to find my partner Arwen who also shares this passion and I can’t wait to go out and experience the world together.
She is a real people person and has the most down to earth personality you will ever find. It’s hard not to fall in love with her the second you meet, so just remember I found her first 😉
We both love going out and meeting new people and will never say no to a few drinks and some music.
I can’t describe enough how much music means to me and has always been a big part of my life.
Last year I moved out with a group of my friends who are all passionate for music and we learned to DJ together. This inspired my love for electronic music and we love to attend raves and DJ at events whenever we can.
And finally at the start of this year I moved out again with my best friend and girlfriend Arwen who I am excited to hopefully spend the rest of my life with and never stop exploring with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To get to meet and know people from all around the world! I want to experience the world on a more personal level and want to share my stories and hopefully hear yours. I also love the thought of potentially meeting people that I can become really good friends with and offer them a place to stay if they ever come to Australia!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 10 I travelled from the bottom to the top of Australia in a van across the desert. Along the journey my brothers and I climbed Uluru and walked across Lake Eyre, the largest lake in Australia (Which is actually dry because our country is as hot as hell 🥵)
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach for a living and would to share my skills in outdoor activities such as surfing, skating, climbing & parkour as well as my skills in music such as guitar, ukulele, and DJ’ing
What I Can Share with Hosts
My stories, my music, maybe even my drinks 😉
It would be amazing to be able to show you around my home if you ever come to Australia and share with you all the secret little spots I know and love around Wollongong.
