I've been doing construction for the past few years but it's time for a change. I made this profile because I was going to crash on a friend's couch for a bit and he's a couchsurfer, so I wanted him to get credit. But I'd gladly surf on your couch too: ) Don't have any place to host anyone at the moment, or I would. Actually that's not true, I'd get a friend of mine who is homeless off the streets first. I went through a rough patch with my wonderful girlfriend while we were moving from an apartment into an RV, had next to no money, and being in an RV is like being in the same room 24/7, AND we had a house guest, and a bunch of other stuff going on at once. We weren't communicating well (and had zero privacy anyway), so it got worse until she kicked me to the curb. We've since made up, but it takes time to get to the moving back in part. Didn't have enough $$ for an apartment, and so I've been surfing couches until I get enough scratch to put my tangibles back in order. So life, in other words.

Grew up on all things "rock", but got exposed to classical, oldies and the like. There is high art in all genres, as there is truth in all scriptures. I'm a poet, so to me they're all really love songs anyway ; ) Lately I've been listening to Three Dog Night, Amanda Palmer, Dubstep and a lot of classic rock and oldies.

As for movies, all of them. I've been re-watching a lot of shows lately, namely Deadwood, The West Wing, Babylon 5, when I get a chance. But I feel like I could watch anything and it would be new again.

Never say you're sorry. Find a way to say thank you instead. Instead of I'm sorry for taking too long say thank you for being patient, I really appreciate it. Be grateful. It will make everyone happier. When you're upset, run your hands through your hair, it is soothing. Even better if someone else does it. When you're lonely, touch yourself (not just there!) Say what you mean and mean what you say. When you give to someone however generously, if you ask them for something and don't get it, if you feel bad it points to an unconscious motive in the giving - you gave in order to get what you needed. If you give just to give, people will want to do the same, and you will both have twice as much energy to do so. And whatever else is going on in life, make sure to do something ***creative.***

Good conversation about everything, help with chores or projects, kindness, acceptance, gentleness and wuv, poetry that most people I show it to seem to enjoy. I had a woman I never met offer to put me in her will once after reading a poem of mine. I declined because I'm weird. Weirdness, that too. A good kind I hope. Novelty. Whatever really.
