I like travelling and I like meeting new people... I dunno, ask them. They might point out how much I dislike working but being of limited means this is essential.

Interests

I like trekking in wilderness or in mountains (5 trips to Nepal, 4 to Norway, 4 to New Zealand, etc). I quite like city travelling and checking out ancient buildings (eg. 4 trips to Egypt, 3 to Cambodia, Libya, Turkey, India, etc). I love cities as well (Krakow, Budapest, Paris, Vienna, Istanbul and others). I like sports but only play cricket these days. I'm really interested in music ... the stuff I listened to in the past or new stuff. I read quite a lot, especially on holiday. I've visited over 60 countries so don't want to list them all below (so I chose my favourite three).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - just to much from Beethoven to Kings of Leon, with many points in between (folk, country, blues, world, jazz, prog rock, rock)
Movies - tough call, but I'll go for Indochine and Once Upon a Time in America
Books - Eco, Name of the Rose / Zola, Germinal / Steinbeck, Grapes of wrath

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Hypostyle Hall at Karnak.
2. The Khumbu area of Nepal takes some beating as far as mountain scenery goes.
3. Grand Canyon never fails to inspire.
