About Me

i am a 45 year old living with my two cats (or should i say they put up with me lol). i like to play badminton, squash, table tennis & chess. i enjoy reading (currently Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman), spending time with friends, and plenty of 'me time' (alone time to refresh the spirit). I enjoy conversation, exploration, silliness, sometimes quiet and stillness.... spontaneity and fun. my philosophy - small random acts of kindness and sharing positivity. i enjoy preparing and cooking tasty wholesome food. i love photography, walks, nature, and all animals :) you can get a better idea of who i am on www.facebook.com/lifeichose and my email address is markspooner2010@gmail.com.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well primarily it is because my sister is going to Corfu with my 10 year old nephew and has become a bit nervous going on her own. After some thought I've decided to go with her and have booked the same flights. I looked on AirBnB and although they have places, I really love to meet new people and connect in a meaningful way. I remembered that someone mentioned this site when I was travelling to London recently.

I'm also now thinking that I may utilise this amazing site and fulfill one of my dreams of travelling more. I'm not really into the commercial thing so this is purr-fick for me. I much prefer to have a more authentic, connected and 'real' experience.

Reciprocity is a wonderful thing so I have also opened up my home for guests.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was recently fortunate enough to be able to save an abandoned kitten and found her a wonderful family home where she is now loved and cared for...

Pi (the first cat to come and adopt me) has his own fb page at www.facebook.com/groups/PiAndFriends with over 100 followers and this is how Stig (the rescued kitten) was re-homed.

What I Can Share with Hosts

if you decide to host me i would be happy to bring some things from the UK for you (if there is anything you might think of) as a gift; alternatively i would certainly contribute in any way that is agreeable to us both, this is something we could discuss.
