I'm 57 and I have been on this amazing journey called Life. I lived in Poland for five years, and brought home with me two priceless souvenirs: my wife and son! My life is so much richer because of them, and I've done all I can to return the gift. I have learned the value of being grateful for every moment. It's the only way of keeping my sanity and spreading a little love wherever I go. I have many interests, I'm artistic and spiritual, and can empathize with just about anyone. I have a wicked and also goofy sense of humor. I am a mental health therapist in private practice.

And I always want to expand my horizons.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

As I wrote above, I want to expand my horizons. Of course couchsurfing will save me money, and that's tremendous. But even moreso, when I travel I want to meet people. Not just tourist-industry stalwarts who are happy to take my money, but the actual people who comprise the community! Let me tell you a little story: when I traveled to Nassau for business, I was put up in a stuffy hotel. Lots of fabulous entertainment, lots of smiling staff. I wanted none of it. I moved out of the hotel and booked a pension in the heart of downtown, and then hitchhiked around. I LOVED it. To this day, I feel I got to know the island and its people. All because I went to them.
