One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Back in 2013, I had the pleasure of conducting geology field work in the Great Victorian Desert of Western Australia for a month. It is quite possibly one of the most remote places on the entire continent.
Over that time, I hiked everyday in the outback amongst: wild camels, dingos, poisonous snakes, scorpions, spiders (as big as your hand), and the blazing sun. The desert was gorgeously harsh during the day, and bitterly cold at night.
I spent most night nestled around the campfire, gazing up at the vastness of space...humbled by the shear size of the cosmos, and how deep time plunges.
It felt so good, to feel so small....
