About Me
Hi 👋 I’m Mark from the beautiful country of the Philippines 🇵🇭
I have a deep love for travel and exploring new places, both locally and internationally ✈️
One of my biggest passions is discovering hidden gems 💎, those special places that are off the beaten path and not always found in guidebooks. I find it incredibly rewarding to explore a new location, learn about the culture, and meet new people along the way 🥳
While traveling is often seen as a solo endeavor, I'm excited about the idea of meeting new friends 🙋 and building connections with people from all over the world 🌎 I believe that travel is not just about seeing new sights, but also about broadening one's horizons and gaining a deeper understanding of different cultures and ways of life.
I'm always on the lookout for my next adventure, whether it's a local road trip or a far-flung destination 🚄There's something about the thrill of exploring a new place that never gets old. I'm excited about what the future holds and can't wait to see where my travels take me next!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm also looking for a companion to share my journey with. Exploring a new place is always more fun when you have someone to share the experience with, and I'm hoping to meet someone who shares my love of travel and adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big fan of Japanese music🎶, particularly bands like One Ok Rock, Yui, Yuuri, and Radwimps.
I first discovered Japanese music during my teenage years when I stumbled upon One Ok Rock's song "Clock Strikes" on YouTube. I was immediately hooked by their powerful sound and the emotional depth of their lyrics. From then on, I delved deeper into the world of Japanese music and discovered other amazing artists like Yui, whose soothing voice and uplifting melodies always brighten my day.
Yuuri's music resonates with me on a personal level, as her introspective lyrics often touch on themes of self-discovery and mental health. And Radwimps, with their eclectic mix of genres and unconventional song structures, never fail to surprise and inspire me.
When I'm not listening to music, I enjoy learning about Japanese culture and language. I've even been lucky enough to attend concerts of some of my favorite Japanese artists when they tour in my area or in abroad

Teach, Learn, Share
I have always been fascinated by the Japanese culture 🏯 and would love to be able to speak the language fluently.
In exchange for learning Japanese, I am more than happy to share my knowledge of English and Filipino. I am a native English speaker, and Filipino is my mother tongue. I believe that language exchange is a great way to not only learn a new language but also to make new friends and broaden our horizons.
I have some experience in teaching English to non-native speakers, and I find it very rewarding to see my students improve their skills. I am patient, flexible and willing to adapt to different learning styles to help my students achieve their goals.
Aside from language learning, I am also interested in music, movies, and sports. I am always up for a good conversation about any of these topics, and I think it would be a great way to practice our language skills.
I am looking forward to meeting someone who is also passionate about language learning and is willing to help me improve my Japanese skills. Let's learn together and have fun along the way!
