I am from California, and I am currently studying abroad in Italy. I study architecture and I enjoy learning about Architecture History and Art History (Renaissance and Baroque)! My passions are music and film and I hope to one day pursue both. I love making short films and also making music. I have some minor credits under my name but in the end I do it for the enjoyment!

I love meeting new people and immersing myself in new experiences! Experiencing culture is the most important take away from visiting someplace new. I live vicariously through movie quotes and movie scenes. So yes, when I went to Paris I danced around the streets like Audrey Hepburn in 'Funny Face'; and when I go to Barcelona I will definitely be strutting down the streets like a 'Cheetah Girl'.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to enrich my time abroad by meeting new people and visiting beautiful cities! When I was younger meeting new people made me nervous, but I've now learned the beauty of making new friends and hearing beautiful stories. I also believe every experience is a blessing, good or bad, its something!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Music is one of my favorite hobbies. I play piano and sing, and I have also released some original music! The music I make is 'Pop' but I truthfully love all types of music from Hip Hop to film orchestras. Some of my inspirations are David Bowie, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Michael Jackson, and Whitney Houston; and my favorite genres to listen to are R&B and Pop.

Movies: Movies are everything to me. I grew up watching them and wanting to make them. My brother and I used to make short-films in our kitchen, and we have now upgraded to Los Angeles! Some of my favorite movies are Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Moulin Rouge, Chicago, Black Swan, Benjamin Button, Interstellar, and Hugo. Independent films are my favorite but I also love action movies, and anything directed by Steven Spielberg (cause obviously).

Books: I don't red too much but I do really enjoy reading a book. One of my favorite reading experiences was 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' series. I could not put those books down! 'The Catcher in the Rye' and 'The Great Gatsby' are two of my all time favorite books.
