About Me

Grew up in Singapore, but moved to Western Australia in 2012. Been sailing since I was 7 years old, and have been fortunate enough to be able to travel around the world for internationals competitions.

Born with sea water in my veins, both my parents were competitive windsurfers back in their day, and me and my older brother spent much of our childhood by the beach and in the water. Educated in the harshly competitive and rigorous Singapore environment, my parents moved to Australia in search of better work life balance. Not to mention Perth was great for sailing!

After spending 2 years in the Singapore Air Force, as part of Singapore's compulsory national service program for all Singaporean males, I went straight into University, where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Management.

Since then, I have been pursuing my sailing in hopes of going to the Olympics someday. It is a tough and challenging road, having to work many odd jobs just to fund competitions, but at the end of the day, the journey is what I will remember.

Love ANY sports and being active, and always up for a challenge! Some of my interests include videography and cooking! (love to whip up a yummy meal for anyone that is hungry)

No matter where in the world I have travelled, the best part was always having shared experiences with friends and like minded people. Am trying to do my part in saving the environment, and spread kindness on this Earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people with similar interests and spread joy and kindness through shared experiences.

I have actually never done couchsurfing before, with a lot of my previous traveling experiences relying on AirBnb (with mixed reviews), but I am really excited to try this!
