Had a great summer in Central Asia, now it's time for Burma... let's hope the rainy season is over by the time I arrive...

ABOUT ME

I'm lucky enough to have a passport that gets me to interesting places without too many visa troubles, enough education that I feel tempted to learn more when I get there... and a loving family whose generosity of spirit has given me the joie de vivre to enjoy my relative freedom... at least a little.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Tom Robbins' Jitterbug Perfume is hard to beat - kind of Herman Hesse but with more humour.

Movies: I'm not big on cinema but love a few gems like Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain.

Music: Blues, Soukous, Baroque - a bit of almost everything. I sometimes tootle on my harmonica when travelling (as tonight at Metro in Bishkek!).
