To find a place to stay in New York city while I attend the Moondance International Film festival from 9/13 to 9/16.

ABOUT ME

I am a writer and artist, but work as a property manager to support myself. I am a Danish/American man. My father's parents were from Denmark. I have been to Denmark several times to visit my cousins. My father past away last year after I took care of him for the last few years of his life. He left me a gift of a small life insurance policy and I decided to travel outside the US and see a friend of mine who is also a property manager in Odessa Ukraine. I studied a little bit of Russian back in the 80's so when I got there, I began to remember some of my long past Russian language skills. I highly recommend anyone to visit Odessa.

I have an art studio in Portland where I like to paint portraits. I spend most of my free time now writing, mostly screenplays since they are shorter than fiction. I am excited to visit Mystic, CT and participating in the Moondance International Film Festival where my script "The Last Straw, Man!" is a finalist this year at the Moondance!

PHILOSOPHY

I would describe myself as liberal in my political perspective. I used to write and draw editorial cartoons back in the 1990s when I was in college. I especially like to write character studies in my work and in the process, I discover humor and satire.

Interests

I spend a lot of my time writing. I write fiction, short stories, poetry, plays, and screenplays. My latest screenplay is a finalist at the Moondance International Film Festival's Feature Screenplay Competition. The award ceremony is in Mystic, CT and I am trying to find a place to stay from Sept. 27 - 29 so I can attend the event at the Old Mystic Village and Art Cinemas.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like character study films, i.e. The Game, Network, The Manchurian Candidate, Fallen, Duck Soup. Music: I enjoy classic rock, jazz, blues, RnB. I have a great fondness for the music of New Orleans. I am currently translating a script I wrote into a book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Winning an international screenplay competition was pretty amazing. Last year I traveled to Odessa Ukraine to visit a friend of mine who is a property manager. Such an incredibly beautiful city right on the Black Sea. Loved every moment I was there.
