PHILOSOPHY

Cynthia: God, don't you ever feel like everything we do and everything we've been taught is just to service the future?
Tony: Yeah I know, like it's all preparation.
Cynthia: Right. But what are we preparing ourselves for?
Mike: Death.
Tony: Life of the party.
Mike: It's true.
Cynthia: You know, but that's valid because if we are all gonna die anyway shouldn't we be enjoying ourselves now? You know, I'd like to quit thinking of the present, like right now, as some minor insignificant preamble to something else.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For most part I have been benefiting from CS - I was lucky enough to be hosted in Spain and few places in South America. Now I hope to find a roommate who will be ok with hosting people so I could 9at least in part) repay my huuuuge debt to this amazing community.

I like to think I'm pretty open-minded and one can talk with me about ... well, everything. Although my biggest hobbies (beside travelling, of course) are movies, comics books, books and media... and yes, I'm a geek ;)P

Movies - from independent movies to hollywood extravaganza and everything in between... I think cinema beside being an art can be also fun when you can just turn off your mind and enjoy! If I would have to be more specific and choose my favorite ones: Garden State, Dazed and Confused, Donnie Darko, Wit, Before Sunset, Hours, Lord of the Rings, Start Wars - old trilogy, Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind, Forrest Gump, Kiss Kiss Baqng Bang, 500 Days of Summer, Inception, Up in the Air, Angels In America, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, America Beauty... maybe I will stop here because this list can go on for looooong ;)

Music - I like to listen to different kinds of music.... a lot depends on the moment and that is why on my playlist you can find next to each other songs of U2, Mumford & Sons, Damien Rice, Editors, Jack Johnson, Florence and the Machine, Norah Jones, Fink, Lipnicka & Poter, Dido, Black Eyed Peas, Nelly Furtado, Timberlake and some jazz collections...

TV - I´m a child of television and Friends tought me English :D I´ve watched all seasons more than 20 times... I knoooooow! it´s weird but who are you to judge :D other than that I´m a big fan of Scrubs, HIMYM, Big Bang Theory, Happy Endings, 30rock, That´s 70's show, Just shoot me. So mostly comedy but X-files, Lost or Grey's Anatomy also are on my list.

Books - I think that the moment they started be a important part of my life I felt I'm starting to grow up ... so maybe when I won't need them anymore it will mean that I'm a "grow-up"... yeah right;) like this will happen anytime soon ;) Titles of books that I find important for me are ¨Fury¨, ¨Sparrow¨, Irving's books, ¨Franny and Zooey¨, ¨The Master and Margarita¨, ¨The heart of the matter¨ and too many other to count:)
