ABOUT ME

just a guy who enjoys the sharing of life experiences over attempting to confine the surprise of discovery into this little box.

But since that doesn't seem to fly, I'll do what i can. I'm mostly interested in politics, intersections with philosophy and art as well as contemporary social issues. I've apprenticed/intershiped/ and worked in ceramics since high school. After graduating, i spent some overseas doing water related projects. Now I am looking to root myself, find a slice of happiness and shake things up in the process.

PHILOSOPHY

I am always trying to interrogate my personal philosophy with my evolving understanding of the world. I am mostly intrigued by philosophies of the east with a twist of the modern. I am a feminist.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I am trying to develop a network of activism and awareness in the Midwest. During the Summer of '12, my friend Amr and I began to become involved further in kc99.org . Since then we have been trying to fight for economic/ social equality, and help defeat the inherent racism manifesting within our culture.

I am hoping, while being a student, I can begin to organize in Logan, Athens and Columbus to stand for the issues that affect us all. I hope you can help me in that endeavor to participate.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In order to explore Athens Ohio to discover the possibilities of a University, I first used couchsurfing. Since then, my various hosts became great friends and opened up the possibilities of this site to me. I hope to use this site more often to meet all you crazy cooky people out there.

Most everything in Rhyme Sayers records puts out there. My favorite rapper is P.O.S. My favorite fiction author is Chuck Palaniuck. I love documentaries because real life is too crazy as is. I also enjoy foreign films, biking, baking, and soccer.

Haiti and Kenya were quite formative. Also been to Italy and Jamaica when i was knee high to a grasshopper.

Unfortunately ceramics is a hard skill to teach without the necessary supplies. I also have a few stories worth sharing and love to teach and discuss contemporary philosophy with everyone.
