Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book of all time is Les Miserables. I also love Kurt Vonnegut (Blue Beard is my favorite book of his), Dickens, Tolstoy (It took me 4 months to get through War and Peace-- but I did it!), and many other "classics." I also like economics-related books and those related to social entrepreneurship.

Music: Coldplay, jenny lewis, rilo kiley, the format, andrew bird, mason jennings, old crow medicine show, randy travis, bach, eisley, brand new, as tall as lions, modest mouse, the good life, iron and wine, kings of leon, straylight run, spinto band, matt nathanson, brett dennen, bonnie "prince" billy, alicia keys, jimmy eat world, justice and many many others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) Went to the very edge of Victoria Falls (during the dry season, of course), leaned over, and looked straight down!

2) Skydiving

3) Saw a wild anaconda attack a dog while staying in Venezuela. I was on a medical missions trip, and a green anaconda came out of the river and attacked a puppy. One of the doctors in our group gave the dog CPR and it survived!

Teach, Learn, Share

I play the bagpipes (beginner). I can teach English, math, or economics. I can also cook a delicious stir fry.
