Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't travel just to take pictures of famous buildings to prove I went there - I want to experience different cultures and meet new people, exchange stories, ideas! All the cliché stuff, sure, but nothing wrong with that :-)

Interests

Reading, writing, engineering, travel. I'm always on the lookout for good books. A recent fave read: Brooklyn.

I recently graduated from university in California and I love the abundance of outdoor activities. The beach, rock climbing, skiing, hiking/ backpacking, etc.

European cities have so much history. Historical fiction/ nonfiction are particular favorite book genres of mine, and I love hearing little-known stories.

Books: Atonement, Never Let Me Go, The Pursuit of Love. I have a soft spot for (actually) suspenseful mystery books - Agatha Christie is a favorite. Other Authors: Haruki Murakami, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jane Austen, Nancy Mitford

Movies: Too many movies this days are predictable and unoriginal. Loved Mad Max, Inside Out (really anything Pixar related). TV: Masters of None, Jane the Virgin, Parks and Rec

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Canyoning in Zion National Park - the last rappel was incredible. There was a 100 ft drop with a view of the whole canyon!
