ABOUT ME

I'm Mark, 24, from York, UK. I love meeting new people and getting to know a little about their story. It is after all people and their stories that make life so interesting.

I travel a lot both with work and for pleasure and love embracing wherever location I find myself. I work in media which is great as my passions in life are photography and film making.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe I live my live to make films that people will spend many hours of their lives enjoying. There's nothing quite like watching, and hearing people enjoy a film I have made.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host at the moment, maybe next year, so I am looking for places to go and people to meet and stay with.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2009 I had my first couchsurfing experience. Me and some friends decided to make a mini documentary and we cycled from Blackpool to Hull, coast to coast. We stopped at Manchester, Leeds and York in between staying with fellow couchsurfers. I was skeptical at first but loved the experience at the end.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't read as much as I should, need to sort that out. Films and music wise I tend to go for the inde scene. Any film with an intricate story or music with an intricate make-up does it for me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Done: Sailed on board HMS Ark Royal around the UK
Seen: Queenstown, New Zealand mountains and glaciers from the air.
