My name is Mark. I am from a little town Petrozavodsk which lies at the northwest of Russia in Republic of Karelia. It's a green town, thow it has the word factory (zavod) in its name. It is sitiuated near the Onego lake. I live in an apartment with my girlfriend , my grandmother and my cat.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been a long time on couchsurfing, but only now I'm starting to get really into it. I think it is a little bit a challenge to go somewhere where you have never been and where you never knew anyone before.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Now I have it) February 2014 Paul and Brian visited Petrozavodsk and I was glad to invite them and even more glad that we got along and just had a good time. Hopefully soon enough I will travel somewhere.
I hope to host more in the upcoming summer.

兴趣

I love reading books, if it is possible I read them in the original language. I also like learning new languages.
When I was younger I loved to climb on the roofs of my town. Once I've played football on the roof. Once I've climbed the Supreme court of Republic of Karelia. Later on I became a jurist)
Winter 2014|2015 I and my friend went into long-distance hiking. And the cool part was that we did it on the ice of Onego lake. We went 40 km in one day, and felt something alike freedom. This summer I want to go hiking in the forests of Karelia.
Also I love meeting new people. Especially from other contries. I love the connection between different cultures.

I can teach you a little bit of russian, or swedish. I'll share my apartment or I can try to cook food, not that I'm into traditional russian cousine, but I have hands)
