我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Couch surfing really appeals to me because I want to meet new and interesting people from around the world. My partner hosted lots of people last summer and the experience was great. Its really given me the push I needed to get my own account properly up and running.

兴趣

My interests are pretty self-explanatory but I'll go through them all anyway.

*Politics

I'm left wing. I think Brexit is an absolute joke. I think healthcare, education, housing and social support should be rights afforded to everyone.

*Music

I play the bass guitar and am in a band. I love listening to, playing and watching live music. (I go into this in further detail later on in my profile)

*Skateboarding

I really enjoy staking around. I've done it since I was 12 years old. It's turned into more of a form of transportation for me now more than anything else.

*Art

I really enjoy making and looking at art. The Tate modern is my favourite art gallery. I'm not very good at drawing etc but I find it relaxing.

*Animal rights

I'm very passionate about animal rights. I've spent time working at animal rescues, going on protests and taking part in direct action.

*Veganism

I'm vegan and have been for 6+ years. Absolutely fine if you're not and it's very unlikely I'll even talk about it unless asked. Just thought I better mention it here.

音乐、电影和书籍

I love music. I tend to lean quite heavily in the direction of hardcore/metal music but genuinely like all sorts of music. Im currently really enjoying discovering random genres on Spotify.

Stephen king is my absolute favourite author. I love the way he writes. I really love reading but tend to stick to stick to the same type of books. From now on Im going to try and read anything Infront of me. I love my kindle.

I also love films. Off the top of my head I love forest gump, Shawshank redemption, oh brother where art thou?, Three billbords etc

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

These things are always really hard. I guess the most recent thing I saw that was amazing was a small white bird fishing whilst I was outide wild swimming. It was so elegant the way it dived into the water and tucked its wings behind its body. I find nature and wildlife a constant source of amazement.

I'd really love to be able to make my couch surfing experience as rich as possible. If there is anything I can help anybody with from my very basic musical knowledge to how to teach English to the basics of skateboarding etc i'd love to help. Saying that if there is any skill anybody else would like to teach me I'd be willing to learn! I really want to learn how to knit and sew/make clothes.
