About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore Brazil, meet some great new interesting people; to have experiences I would never have in London!!

ABOUT ME

Well, I have just returned from taking 8 months out of my usual existance in London, England to explore Brazil. I had a great time, learning SOME Portugeuse, and meeting some really cool people.

I explored all sorts of places such as Rio, Minas Gerais, Amazonia and Salvador - for carnival!

PHILOSOPHY

Certainly to find out what mine is, but really just to continue meeting interesting people, to be a good friend and to have fun along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I learnt about this website from a current member who regularly hosts people, and who has made some great friends along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I guess my only similar experiences was in Brazil have been when I have stayed with Brazilian friends (or friends of friends) from London. When I stayed with these people, I found the experience so enjoyable, as I really discovered the place from a local´s perspective.

Interests

Travelling - Aside from Brazil, I have also lived in South Africa and Israel. Also visited Australia, Turkey and stacks of other countries around Europe.
Also - football (I´m a big Liverpool fan!).

Music, Movies, and Books

A Film I have just seen was `Dois Filhos De Francisco`; a lovely Brazilain film about a father´s desire to do the best for his kids, by turning them into singinf superstars!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing that has stuck with me is when I visited a township in Capetown, South Africa. It was a Sunday morning and I visited some chruches where services were takng place. The experience was really uplifting - many people had no material possessions yet they were so happy - praying singing, and running up to me curiuos to know more about me and my country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I´m happy to help anyone brush up on their English. Also, I´m not a bad cook!
