CURRENT MISSION

I'm trying to squeeze a few lifetimes into one. There's a lot that I want to do and be, and I just really want to have everything. I'm not able to do everything of course, and so I'm trying to just be really happy with whatever I get to see and do.

I just finished law school and am now travelling before beginning work as a lawyer in Canada. I've worked at all sorts of interesting and great and horrible jobs, and I am always searching for great experiences. I like being outside, working with my hands, logic problems and puzzles, and people's life stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm going to be travelling for 5 weeks with my girlfriend and her sister, and planning to surf on many couches. Hopefully in two or three months I'll have a couch of my own! I'll benefit now, and try to give back to my hosts what I can by sharing my time and experiences. Once I've got a couch of my own I'll host surfers as regularly as possible!

Interests

I like to let the world around me fill my senses. Contemplation is a wonderful thing. I like physical exercise and the benefits it gives to body and mind, and I especially like it if it can be really challenging. Rock climbing is good, and so is yoga. Surfing, snowboarding, swimming, ultimate frisbee and so on, are too. These things make me very happy, especially if I can share them with interesting people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've lived in silence and meditated for 10 days at a vippassana retreat I attended. It was really intensely challenging and educational for me, and I'd definitely do it again.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach rock climbing, slacklining, rudimentary guitar, yoga...

I'd really like to learn how to make pottery, or blow glass, and bake.
