About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a professional, single gay guy living in the city of San Francisco. I have lived here since 1998 after growing up in the Iowa. The stereotypical Midwestern traits are true for me. I'm a simple guy, honest, respectful, and always willing to help someone out.
Growing up in a pretty sheltered area (small town Iowa) I have always enjoyed experiencing other cultures - which I guess is why I am here. I love to travel and feel very fortunate for traveling as much as I have over the years. I've seen a lot of Europe and recently a bit of Asia and Central America.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
A friend of mine told me about the site and it sounded like a great idea. He traveled across Europe and CS'd most of the entire time. I don't have any specific plans to travel now, but I figure since I have my own place I could offer up my couch. I signed up awhile ago but wasn't active or paying attention to e-mails. Sorry to those of you who wrote me. I'll try do a better job of responding!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted two people so far through Couchsurfing and it was a great experience for all three of us.
Interests
I love traveling and trying out new restaurants and bars in my hometown. SF has such a great dining scene. I also enjoy the outdoors and doing day trips in the area. Photography is a hobby of mine too.
I've recently gotten into running the last few years. My second marathon is on deck for this year.
I'm a newish dog owner too. I have a little white Bichon Frise. She gets along with people, doesn't she'd and is considered to be hypoallergenic so you don't have to worry about allergies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been fortunate enough to travel. I've seen a fair amount of Europe and recently visited asia a few times of the past couple years. It is hard to pick just a few moments, but recently in Costa Rica I went repelling and zip lining. It was an amazing experience for me as I have always had a little fear of heights. I'm not a big risk taker.
