About Me

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a typical mid-west US city and got introduced early on to traveling through my father. After high school I got the urge to live abroad and ended up in Croatia teaching English and eventually working as a newscaster for the national radio service. After a while I figured I should finish my degree and so I returned to the States and that's where I'm at now.

PHILOSOPHY

My general philosophy entails being the captain of my ship while recognizing that there are a lot of things in life that can't be changed, and so it's best to just try to see the positive side of all of it and go with the flow. You've gotta make the best out of life. I also try to be open-minded and welcome experiences that give me a fresh outlook on life and/or change a belief that I previously held. Lastly, I really enjoy helping people. It might sound a bit naive, but I believe that when you help somebody, one day that person will help someone else and eventually you will benefit from the inspiration to help that you gave to the first person you helped.

Music, Movies, and Books

My musical tastes span many genres, from classical music, electro, new wave, and so on. I like reading historical fiction and dabble in the classics. In terms of movies, everything goes except for horror and plotless Hollywood action flicks.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share plenty of travel experiences, and love to hear them as well! Sharing life experiences and lessons learned is great, too.
