About Me

Hi hi, Markus here :-) After multiple years living in Munich I felt like I need a change and now I'm doing Interrail in Scandinavia. At the moment I'm exploring the beautiful Norway and while I'm doing that I'm trying to figure out which challenge I'd like to tackle next in my life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm very interested to meet up with locals wherever I go. Not only is a great way to get to know a place/culture but also I like the sharing aspect - I feel like we can learn so much from each other :)

Interests

I like all kinds of sports: soccer, tennis, beach volleyball, climbing, ... even chess :) I love eating and cooking healthy foods (prefer eating though). When I'm not doing any of the above I still prefer to be out in nature, maybe reading a book or go for a walk.

Music, Movies, and Books

With music I'm not picky. Used to listen to rock & metal a lot when I was younger. That change over the time to drum'n'base, dubstep and house. These days I do like techno, from time to time a bit of jazz, or some other chilled tunes.
Favourite fiction book so far: 'The Kingkiller Chronicle'
Favourite movie so far: 'The Bucket List'

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking part in an Ayahuasca ceremony

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything I know I'm happy to share and I'm really curious about trying out new stuff!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I might be not the person who has traveled to most (yet) but I might have the one or other story to tell. My interest are pretty wide-ranged and I like to do all kinda things so I might be able to share basic skills in multiple areas: Wanna learn basic programming? Always wanted to try out (Acro) Yoga? Looking for an interesting round of chess? Wonder how to make some tasty Austrian food? Let's do it! :-)
