About Me

Hi!
I am Markus, 33 years old, from Germany. I worked and travelled all over the world. I worked 1,5 years in Afghanistan and 2 years in Vietnam for the German Development Service. After my last assignment in Vietnam I took my bicycle and booked a flight ticket to New York. After approx.. 5.600 km and three months of my bike I reached San Francisco. After this trip of my lifetime I moved to Copenhagen and started with the Master Program in Disaster Management. My time in Copenhagen is already over on for the last two months I attended a French class in Lyon, a field trip to Bangladesh and GIS training in Geneva. And Geneva is the place I would like to return back for a while. I am currently applying for jobs in Geneva and worldwide. Therefore I would like to send some days in Geneva again, spreading my CV, talking to some people involved in human resource management, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

if it comes to books I have at least three in my mind:
Flight to Arras by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil by Hannah Arendt, Blindness by José Saramago.

The music album i have heard most during the last years is definitely the XX by the XX

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycling from New York to San Francisco was quite an experience;)
