About Me

My greatest hobby is to travel around the world. Come together with different kinds of people, find new friends and learn about their way of life.

I am an easy-going, open-minded and optimistic person who loves to laugh and smile. I enjoy the simple pleasures in life and find humour in everyday things. I am always thinking, planning, and coming up with crazy ideas.

I like to follow the path not commonly taken and am always up for trying new things. I am a curious person... also the kind of person who never orders the same thing twice on a menu and usually orders the things with strange names and exotic ingredients.

I enjoy good company, but also really appreciate doing things alone and take pleasure in the friendly people I may meet along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met a very nice girl, who is also originally from Germany but staying close to Whitehorse in the Yukon Territory, Canada. She offered to host me for a few nights in her home until I receive my lost baggage from London airport.
Fortunately, I got my baggage at the same day, but I was sure I had to meet her again one week later. It was an amazing experience! She was very open-minded and made me feel like at home.

After meeting a couple of CS-hosts in Canada, I decided to cancel all my reservations for hostels and hotels I had already booked for my journey. I started to fall in love with this community, because you can learn much more about the people and the surrounding area by couchsurfing.

Now I'm back home again and try to let other travelers stay for a few days at my home.

Interests

Meet up a lot of totally different people on my travels and learn about their daily life.

I like to listen to the amazing trips they made. Unfortunately, I am getting inspired too much and wanna visit all of these places as well :D

I always have a look for taking good photographs and can appreciate a good beer in the evening.

And I also wanna learn how to cook foreign dishes. I was lucky of getting taught to make my own kimchi and other stuff from other couchsurfers already ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't have favorite movie, but I guess the fantasy and sci-fi genre could fit pretty well. But I am very good in forgetting titles and plots after watching the movies too :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Absolutely my last trip through Canada!
It took me from Pelly Crossing, YT to Halifax, NS around 12.000 km across the entire country.
I discovered the amazing couchsurfing community, hitchhiked, joined some rideshares, helped out on a lot of different farms, met great people on my way and found many new friends as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know, ask me :)
When I have free-time, I would love to show you some interesting places in my city.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a lot of my pictures and experiences I made on my travels.
Became a very good dishwasher because of my last stays with couchsurfers. :)
My hot sauce I buy everywhere I can and/or apples!! I usually have at least one of these with me. xD
