Hey there! I'm Markus.
So, about me, huh? Well, I grew up in the beautiful city of Münster, Germany, moved to the equally beautiful, if a lot smaller Greifswald in 2013 to study law there and now I'm spending one semester abroad in Kyoto. While I'm not a proper travelholic, I came around in Europe a little. Then I got curious about more exotic (well, from my point of view) locations and cultures and decided to go to Japan. Definitively one of my best decisions so far!
As a person I'm calm, friendly, tolerant, open and honest.

Mainly to find places to stay, but of course also to meet friendly people to chat with and make friends. While I'm more of a quiet type and may come across as shy sometimes, I really love to speak to other people, hear their stories and share my own, if desired.

Also looking forward to hosting once I have a home with sufficient space!

兴趣

In my free time I study Japanese (still at beginner level as of now), play guitar, bass and ukulele, do some calligraphy and occasionally play video games. In and around my hometown I cycle a lot. In the summer I like to dabble in freestyle frisbee.

If anyone wants to speak or study either English or German, I'd be happy to help! People tell me I'm quite good at explaining languages and grammar.

I can also teach guitar/ukulele chords, 18th centruy German cursive handwriting or give some basic advice for travelling Germany/Europe.
